(almost 250 participants in 2006 from Belgium / France/ Netherlands)
Org.: Brussels Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy / Fire Gym / Buurtsport Brussel/ Belgium BJJ Federation
+ financial support of the “Sportdienst Vlaamse Gemeenschap”
Dear BJJ competitor,
We are glad to invite you to the 7the edition of the Open Spartakiade Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Fire Gym. It is a special edition because we are celebrating 25th anniversary of Fire Gym (1982). We started teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to kids & youngsters since 1999. Fire Gym organised his first BJJ competition in 2000 with the help op the Belgium BJJ Federation and Buurtsport Brussels. 25 Years Fire Gym, is 25 years of devotion for the Brussels Youth. The President of Fire Gym, Carlos Perez wrote a book about the experience of Fire Gym: “Kids under pressure”. A Book about the importance of the school in the emancipation of the Youth. The School has to be a place of education, and not a place of stress, exclusion, selection. Less kids in a school class and more sport at school is what we demand. We promote BJJ in schools because there is a lack of sport facilities for kids in the schools and in Brussels. BJJ members of Fire Gym have been successfully stimulated en helped in putting up new BJJ Schools in the popular neighbourhoods of Brussels. The BJJ Kids classes in Fire Gym or open for kids with an Handicap. So you are all invited at our anniversary Party on Saturday 26 may 2007.
Greetings and See you all at the BJJ Spartakiade and don’t forget:
“First Friendship and then the competition”.
Dieter Truyen (0032486307863)
President BBJJA (Brussels Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy)
