Fedor Emelianeko Challenges Brock Lesnar

Fedor Emelianeko, considered to be one of the best MMA fighters in the world not currently under contract to UFC, issued a statement challenging new UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar to a MMA fight. The complete statement released by M-1, which has Fedor under contract is as follows: M-1's Official Statement on Brock Lesnar's victory M-1 would like to congratulate Brock Lesnar on his UFC heavyweight title victory as well as acknowledge Randy Couture's return to active competition after a layoff that lasted over a year. Couture and WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko had publicly acknowledged a desire to fight each other multiple times over the course of the past year. While M-1 and Fedor remain interested in a match against Couture, we would also like to publicly state for the record that we would welcome a superfight between Fedor and Lesnar that would be held as a co-promoted event between the UFC, M-1, and Affliction Entertainment. We've invited the media to speak with us today to not only make it clear we would welcome a Fedor vs. Lesnar matchup but to act in a preemptive fashion to address the possibility that UFC officials will try and position Lesnar as the No. 1 heavyweight in the world, much like they have tried to use a marketing ploy to brand Anderson Silfva as the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world. In the past, UFC president Dana White and Zuffa, LLC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta have tried to claim that Fedor was "overrated" and that his "record was irrelevant." They make these claims in spite of the fact that Fedor holds career victories over UFC champions past and present. While we have tremendous respect for the contributions Mr. Fertitta and Dana have made to this sport, we do not believe they are sincere in their statements. It is the position of M-1 that the UFC has adopted an anti-Fedor policy because multiple attempts to sign him have not been fruitful. For a company that has tried to market itself as the number one promotion in the world, they are unable to accept the fact that the number one fighter in the world does not reside on its roster of contracted fighters. We believe that the UFC has determined that it's much more inexpensive for them to use their marketing resources to use smoke and mirrors to brand a fighter as the pound-for-pound best as opposed to actually paying the pound-for-pound best what he is truly worth on the open market. While Brock Lesnar is an accomplished athlete and a talented fighter, we do not consider him to be the number one heavyweight in the world. Until someone beats him, we strongly believe that Fedor should continue to be recognized as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. In a match between Fedor and Lesnar, we do not feel that at this stage Lesnar would be able to make it out of the first round. For those who feel our statements in regards to Fedor are self-serving, we'd like to refer you to a video interview on the website RawVegas.tv in which at his UFC 91 after-party Couture himself acknowledges that "Fedor would probably tear Brock up at this point." Ich denke nicht, dass Dana White sich (zumindest jetzt) darauf einlassen würde. Denn Fedor würde Brock auseinandernehmen. Und Fedor ist in den Staaten noch nicht sehr bekannt. Ein Kampf würde ihn somit zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt auch nicht viel mehr Geld einbringen.

Ganz ehrlich? Riecht nach Fake, Fedor weiß das Brock kein Gegner für ihn ist und das er Brock auseinander nehmen würde.

Kein Fake. Fedor ist nicht blöd. Wenn er Brock besiegen will, muss er es jetzt tun. Brock hat nämlich alle Grundlagen Fedor in ein paar Jahren nach allen Regeln der Kunst zu filetieren.

Brock hat auch so einen gewissen willen.

Vom technischen mal abgesehen.Da ist Fedor bestimmt überlegen.

Naja denkt mal realistisch, Dana wird den guten Brock nicht dem "Löwen" zum Fraß vorwerfen, eher wird Dana warten bis Brock den "Löwen" frisst in zwei drei Jahren

Ist doch clever zu warten, bis der Zahn der Zeit an Fedor nagt, dann hat, egal wer, wenigstens eine Chance zu gewinnen...

Ich denke nicht, dass Lesnar eine all zu lange MMA Karriere erwartet. Angesichts seiner Masse (und seines offensichtlichen Ernährungsplans auch noch aus Wrestling Zeiten ) wird es ihn früher oder später zerlegen (Körperressourcen auf Dauer zu stark anzuzapfen ist nicht gut). Bei dem Gewicht, dass er trägt und der Art wie (hart) er trainiert, kann das nicht lange gut gehen. Versuche, Technik mit Gewalt (also Kraft) auszugleichen, können schnell durch Verschleiß nach hinten losgehen. Er sollte sein Geld schnell verdienen und dann schnell wieder ungeschlagen abtreten, bevor er sich selbst "verheizt" (oder das UFC Management das für ihn übernimmt). Mir kommen die Beispiel Kerr und Crocop in den Sinn, die recht traurig sind, wenn man die beiden ihrer Glanzzeit in Erinnerung hat und sieht, was sie jetzt noch bringen.

Fedor hingegen trainiert - von dem was man sieht - ganz anders, eher technisch und damit verletzungsärmer und haut auch nicht so beim Gewichtstraining rein. Falsches Krafttraining kann besonders im Kampfsport, wo ja noch Verletzung aus dem Partnertraining hinzukommen, eine Karriere enorm verkürzen (Verschleiß, langwierig Verletzungen). Zudem trägt Fedor ja auch geringeres Eigengewicht, was ein weiterer Vorteil in Bezug auf eine verlängerte Karriere ist.

Prognosen in der Richtung, Lesnar wird in drei Jahren alles wegräumen, sehe ich mit Skepsis. Möglicherweise ist er aus den o.g. Gründen dann schon in Rente

Abgesehen davon ist er natürlich ein absolutes Tier, bewegt sich für seine Maße gut. Er muss Fedor eben schnell packen, ansonsten, dreht der ihm am Boden den Hals (oder besser Arm) um oder wartet einfach im Stand, bis Lesnar die Luft ausgeht.

Bleibt noch die Frage nach Lesnars Kinn? Weiß jemand was über seine Nehmerqualitäten?

Ich glaub auch das er ziemlich aufgepumpt ist.Zu seinen Nehmerqualitäten sprich Kinn glaub ich das er wenig hat.Frage ist welches Kinn kann überhaupt nehmen (in der Liga)
