Wer sind diese Trainigsspartner von Bruce?

Weiß jemand, werd diese Personen auf den Fotos sind, mit denen Bruce trainiert hat?

Ha bin ich gut! Ich hatte den auf Bild 1 auch für Inosanto gehalten, war mir dann aber nicht ganz sicher wegen der Frisur

Eine Sache find ich aber eigenartig. Das Buch Bruce Lee's fighting Method, aus dem diese Bilder sind, soll ja im Jahre 1966 verfasst worden sein. Über Ted Wong steht aber überall, dass er erst im Jahre 1967 Bruce zum ersten Mal getroffen hat... ist etwas widersprüchlich

Kann es sich bei dem zweiten Foto evenuell um einen anderen Chinesen wie z.B. James Yimm Lee handeln?

Die Idee zu dem Buch bestand bereits seit 1964; das Photoshooting für die Fighting Methods fand Ende 1967 statt.
Einige Monate zuvor, im Februar 1967, eröffnete Bruce Lee seine L.A. Chinatown Schule, in der sich Ted Wong gleich zum Unterricht anmeldete.
Die Timeline passt also.

Crossreading...nix besonderes, sofern man weiss, wo man gucken muss.
Am liebsten orientiere ich mich an Bruce Lee´s Originalaufzeichnungen, wie z.B. die überlieferten Briefe an Familie, Freunde und Schüler, welche viele Daten und Informationen beinhalten.
Im Vorwort der gebundenen ´Fighting Method´ Reihe stand z.B. die Info über das Photoshooting; und dass die Chinatown School im Februar ´67 eröffnet wurde, gilt wohl inzwischen als Allgemeinbildung.

Ted Wong was definitely part of the photoshoot for these pictures. I have heard som wonderful storie from this photosession.

But as it was writen. ted met Bruce in 1967 when Bruce opened his school and was soon chosen as his Training partner.

Bruce must defenitely have seen something in ted since he choce him to attend in the photoshoot when he had other Black Belts at his school to choose from.

I dont know if James Lee was present at this photosession. But there is a picture of Ted and James holding a stich that Bruce Lee rests his leg on.

Bruce was actually the technical advisor for james Lee's Book wing Chun, it could also be that that picture was taken at the photoshoot for the Wing Chun Book and Bruce and ted were presnt at the session. When I come think about it, Ted is in that book.

the picture with Ted, James and Bruce was taken in 1971, during the photoshoot of the Wing Chun book, which was finally published in 1972 by Ohara.
Ted Wong actually assisted James Yimm Lee in demonstrating the Wing Chun techniques. The photos were taken in Bruce Lee´s L.A. Chinatown kwoon, btw.

I learn something every day. Even though I myself have a big Bruce lee collection this kind of information has never been my biggest intrest when it comes to Bruce Lee.

But representing Bruce lee anmd JKD I definitely see that one should have knowledge about stuff like this.

Being a ted Wong student and on his Training programme one knows that part of that is that he expexts bot tehchical knowledge about JKD, pgysical fitness is a part of his program, as well as theoretical knowledge about both the history of JKD, his philosohphy.

I also think that knowing Bruce lee as a phenomena im Martial arts movie and television should be a part of the knowledge a good JKd intsructor has
