Trotzdem goil! Ich hab mir mal ein paar Vorschau-Videos auf der offiziellen Seite reingezogen. Sieht doch ganz gut aus. Ich freue mich echt schon auf die Kyokushin-Folge.

A: Fight Quest is a lot less about the history of the particular styles and more about the journey Doug and I go through as we are mercilessly battered all over the world. Trust me, there were many times when I was wishing it was a computer graphic getting hit instead of me.

Also, Doug and I always fight at the end of every episode. We are very good friends and the concern we have for one another comes through the show. We go through our training in separate locations and as a result you get to see the differences in our training and experience levels in every single episode.

A: The main difference is that our show rocks! Human Weapon is more of a history lesson, while in Fight Quest the styles are explored as Jimmy and I are fully immersed in the training and tradition of each country. Our experiences are grueling, real and very often traumatizing. We sweat, bleed and visit hospitals on nearly every episode. I've broken a few bones while filming Fight Quest, and I've been knocked out more times than I can count. All that hard work brings out a lot of emotion, so I think our show reveals a bit more of the fighter's heart and mentality.

And on top of all of that, Jimmy takes his shirt off a lot.

Danke für den Hinweis! Ich hab bei Discovery Deutschland angefragt, ab wann die Doku-Serie bei uns zu sehen ist. Wenn ich ne Antwort habe, dann werd ich euch informieren.

Hi Freunde der Gewaltigsten Dokus ueber die unterschiedlichsten Stile!

Habe gestern Nacht zufaellig mal rumgezappt und auch ein blindes Huhn findet mal ein Korn bin auf Fight Quest gestossen.

Gesehen habe ich das Ende der Show wo die Zwei HELDEN auf den Philipinen sind. Das war schon ganz ok. Ich war auch ueber die Kaempfe nicht schlecht erstaunt, obwohl denen dort auch oft Hoeflichkeit bei der Wertung entgegen gekommen wird.

In der anderen Folge warens in (wie auch immer die Stadt in China heisst), dort wo der Shaolin tempel ist (so sagten die jedenfalls). Da gab es dann Sanda! Das Training war beeindruckend und einer lernte einen Ziegelstein zu zerbrechen (hat auch nur 3 Versuche in der Demo gebraucht) und der andere lernte wie man sich Ziegelsteine auf dem Bauch mit nem Vorschlaghammer zertruemmern laesst.
Die Kaempfe waren recht cool, dafuer dass der Kleine wenig Erfahrung hat (aber immerhin ein Irakkrieg-Veteran!) und der Grosse ist etwas temperamentvoll und sein inneres Chi war schnell dahin nachdem er einen gefangen hatte und dann gab es grobes fuer den Chinamann! So halbwegs jedenfalls.

Im Grossen und Ganzen, nicht schlecht - ich wuerd sowas gerne mal machen aber wenn dann mit wenigstens einem Monat Training bei den verschiedensten Stilen!
