ZONA NO GI CUP 2008.

We would like to invite you for the Zona No Gi Cup on Sunday April 20th 2008

This will be a Submission Grappling tournament based on
the official IBJJF rules in a huge sportshall with lockerrooms, warm up areas, and large fight areas.

RULES
The point system of the IBJJF ( International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation ) will be used, but without advantages.
All arm locks (including biceps lock), all leg locks (including heel hook, toehold etc) and neck cranks (except twisters)
will be allowed.

Beginner is a white belt or has less then 1,5 year of experience with ground fighting.

Advanced is a blue belt and higher or has more then 1,5 year of experience with ground fighting.
Beginner fights will last 5 minutes and advanced fights 6 minutes.


PRIZES
The winner of each category will receive a Zona kimono short.
Medals will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.


WEIGHT CLASSES & REGISTRATION
Men: -67kg, - 73 kg, - 79 kg, -85 kg , -91 kg , -97 kg, + 97 kg
Women: -60kg and +60kg

Early registration until April 7th
The fee for early registration is € 18 and is available until midnight on Monday April 7th

Registration with payment using bank deposit & payment using Paypal will be possible.

Late registration until April 14th
The fee for late registration is € 23 and is only possible by payment using Paypal. Registration will close at midnight on Monday April 14th

If you haven’t paid and subscribed before the deadline, please do not come to the competition to try enrolling on the day itself, for this will be not be accepted.


REGISTRATION CHECKDAY
Wednesday 16th of April will be registration check day.
ALL ATHLETES MUST CHECK THEIR REGISTRATION INFORMATION ON THE REGISTRATION CHECK DAY – APRIL 16th ON OUR WEBSITE: REGISTRATION CHECK

WEIGH-IN & FIGHT SCHEDULE
A schedule with the start time of all categories will be available at our site Thursday April 17th.
WEIGH IN AND FIGHT SCHEDULE

THE WEIGH IN WILL BE JUST BEFORE YOU STEP ON THE MAT FOR YOUR FIRST FIGHT[/size].

The athletes must be at the warm up area, according to their fight schedule.
The athlete can only enter in the fighting area when called by the official.


In case of victory the athlete must return to the warm up area, and remain there till the next fight.

No coaching is allowed within the fighting area.
