Zona No Gi Cup - 6 June -2010- Amsterdam

We would like to invite you for the Zona No Gi Cup 2010
on Sunday June 6th in Amsterdam.

This will be a No Gi Grappling tournament based on the official IBJJF rules.
Competitors will fight in poule system, which means several fights guaranteed,
since all fighters within the same bracket face each other.

The winner of each category will receive an Exclusive Zona No Gi Shirt !!


RULES

The point system of the IBJJF will be used, but without advantages.

All arm locks, wrist locks (including biceps locks) and neck cranks will be allowed.


Regarding footlocks:

In the beginner categories only the straight ankle locks are allowed. *

In the advanced categories all leg locks EXCEPT HEEL HOOKS are allowed. *

Beginner* is a white belt BJJ or has less than 2 years of experience with ground fighting.

Advanced* is a blue belt BJJ or higher or has more than 2 years of experience with ground fighting.

Fights will last 5 minutes.



PRIZES

Medals will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
The winner of each category will receive a Zona No Gi Shirt.

Men: -67kg, - 73 kg, - 79 kg, -85 kg , -91 kg , +91kg
Women: Open weight


REGISTRATION
Registration until May 31st

The fee for registration is € 20 and must be paid in advance by bank. Details regarding the bank payment can be found on the Registration form. Registration will close at midnight on Monday May 31st

REGISTRATION AFTER May 31st & REGISTRATION BY EMAIL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!

If you haven’t paid and subscribed before the deadline, please do not come to the competition to try enrolling on the day itself, for this will be not be accepted.

Thursday June 3rd will be registration check day.

WEIGH-IN & FIGHT SCHEDULE

A schedule with the start time of all categories will be available at our site on Thursday June 3rd.

THE WEIGH IN WILL BE JUST BEFORE YOU STEP ON THE MAT FOR YOUR FIRST FIGHT.

*The athletes must be at the warm up area, according to their fight schedule.

*The athlete can only enter in the fighting area when called by the official.

*In case of victory the athlete must return to the warm up area, and remain there till the next fight.

*No coaching is allowed within the fighting area.
