My primary background of kung fu fighting is Kwong Sai Jook Lum Southern Praying Mantis. I was affiliated with the Sifu Mark Gin Foon School from 1992-1999. I continue pursue studies in Hung Gar, Wing Chun, Pak Mei Pai from Sifu Lui Long Chun, & Taiji, Xing Yi, Ba Gua from Shifu Charles Morris and just starting the Judo/BJJ systems of martial arts as well to further understand martial relationships and for the physical fitness aspect of it. I continue to dig deep into the art's philosophy while teaching a couple close ones the SPM system. I currently work as an acupuncturist at Mayo Clinic Rochester as well as in private practice as an Acupuncturist/herbalist/Reflexologist/Bone-setter/Tui-Na body worker in Minneapolis. I can be reached at do.alexander@mayo.edu or at my clinic 2727 Nicollet Ave on weekends by appointment. Respectable "chit cho" challenges welcome.
Please note that my site is not for kung fu political discussion, but merely a site to express my passion for the arts and to exchange martial education. There is no 6th successor in Jook Lum to my knowledge, so do not take my work as the the gospel. Just know that I do not add what I have not been taught. If it isn't titled with Jook Lum, then it's not Jook Lum deriven to me although many arts share same concepts and motions.
