"..To understand this article and action by the rio jiu jitsu federation you need to know that for a person to be a physical education teacher or a physical trainer in rio you need to go to college. The person needs to get your degree. Not a certificate. To teach jujitsu in rio, Robson Gracie made a deal with the city years ago that a black belt is qualified to teach because they have studied from 8 to 15 years his trade. Thus, a diploma from the Federation could be used instead of a physical education college degree. This is not said in the article or in the comments. To teach jiu jitsu in Rio is different than small town America..."

In Jiu Jitsu, only those who can teach are those who have the black belt. Whoever has conquered the band has the authority and knowledge to teach art. ”

“It is a physical education degree. It is a degree earned at a college. The city years ago said, "You want to open a gym and teach jiu jitsu, you must have a college degree." Robson Gracie stepped in an said the black belt diploma from the rio federation could be used instead of a college degree. The city agreed.”
