We would like to invite you for the Holland Gi Challenge 2010 on Sunday February 21st .
THE WINNER OF EACH OPEN CLASS, ELITE & BLUE BELT CLASS WILL WIN A GI!
Total of 1600 euro worth of prizes !
And, all early registrations will receive a Tournament t-shirt!
RULES & FIGHT TIME
The point system of the IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (http://www.ibjjf.org/rules.htm)) will be used.
White Belt fights will last 5 minutes.
Blue Belt fights will last 6 minutes.
Elite (Purple&Up) fights will last 7 minutes.
In the Elite class the lower belt rules are applied.
For example, if a purple belt fights a brown belt, it will be purple belt rules(no toeholds & kneebars)
PRIZES
Medals will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
The winner of each open class and each elite class will win a Black Eagle Gi.
The winner of each blue belt class will win a Zona gi.
There will be a trophy for the Best Team and the coach of the best team will receive 100 euro.
WEIGHT CLASSES & REGISTRATION
Men: -70kg, - 76 kg, - 82.3kg, -88.3 kg , -94.3 kg , -100.5 kg, + 100.5 kg
Women: -60kg and +60kg
In the Elite and Women divisions it is possible that weight categories are put together to ensure enough fights. (Weight categories and weigh-in is with Gi)
Early registration until January 31st
The fee for early registration is € 25 and gives right to a free tournament tshirt.
Payment is possible by using bank deposit or Paypal.
Early registration will close on Sunday January 31st
Late registration until February 14th
The fee for late registration is € 25 and is only possible using paypal
Registration will close on Sunday February 14th

REGISTRATION AFTER FEBRUARY 14th & REGISTRATION BY EMAIL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!
If you haven’t paid and subscribed before the deadline, please do not come to the competition
to try enrolling on the day itself, for this will be not be accepted.

Wednesday February 17th will be registration check day.

A schedule with the start time of all categories will be available at our site on
Thursday February 18th.
THE WEIGH IN WILL BE JUST BEFORE YOU STEP ON THE MAT FOR YOUR FIRST FIGHT.
WHEN CALLED OUT TO FIGHT, BRING YOUR ID TO THE MAT TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF.
The athletes must be at the warm up area, according to their fight schedule.
The athlete can only enter in the fighting area when called by the official.
In case of victory the athlete must return to the warm up area, and remain there till the next fight.
CHEAP HOSTEL
There is a nice and cheap hostel in the centre of Amsterdam.
