Will Haven - Ego´s Game

Anhören HIER: http://www.willhaven.com/game.mp3

Lesen HIER:

Ego's Game

The starters pistol fires
Your game is afoot now
And the clones cheer you on
You radiate intimidation

Don't you think she can sense your eyes pierce
To the flesh or does your ego...

You paint a pretty picture of yourself to her
An abstract portrait regardless of the truth
Don't you think she can sense your eyes pierce
To the flesh or does your ego
Block out the emotions of another?
Block out the emotions Of another!

You'll eat her existence
A slave to your game
You'll eat her existence
A slave to your game
You'll eat her existence
A slave to your game
A slave to your
A slave to your game

Another's pain and fears is spelled out in her eyes
But will the child's ego ever let go?
Another's pain and fears is spelled out in her eyes
But will the child's ego Ever let go?
For the sake of being loved?
For the sake of being loved?

Mir ist noch ein Klassiker eingefallen. Ziemlich alt und psychotisch von Neurosis.

Anhören: HIER (http://neurosis.com/media/Neurosis_SoulsAtZero_ToCrawlUnderOnesSkin.mp3)

Lesen: Hier

To Crawl Under One's Skin

Isolated so long, blighted by the first frost.
Longing for the warmth of human touch.
Through this wall of ice I can see you.

Callous only outside, from the kicking
And the beating down.
Please rip them from my body, please!

Glacier growing larger.
Mirror growing darker.
Do you see the blue?

My forefront of consciousness.
Has been ignored.
The healing touch of time has abandoned me.
Abandoned me!

The longing brings me near, but the fear
Keeps me inches/worlds away.

Reaching through the ice at last.
But you feel the frost and run.
Run from me back to the secure.
(You didn't belong here anyway)

And I'm left still, still longing
Still cold
So cold.
