Workshop mit Nathan Menaged
4-5 Nov: Push Hands Drills — Solo, Partner Work and Free Play.
6-7 Nov: Yang style Two Person Set (San Shou)— Form and Applications.
Unterrichtssprache: English. Bei Bedarf wird übersetzt. (Der folgenden text aber nicht, sorry :-)!
The first two days will give a good base for stepping into the two person set, which provides some deep insights in the principles of the martial art Taijiquan. As always the accent will be on softness and yielding:-)! Even if the four days are strong related, you are welcome to attend to one only of the two workshops, if this suits better for you. For single days please let’s talk though.
Nathan has learnt the two person set from Dr. Tao Ping-Siang, known as the “master of the soft way”, with whom he worked as indoor student and assistant at workshops for more then fifteen years (1989 to 2005). Dr Tao has studied this form in Taiwan with Hsiung Yang-ho (1886-1984), himself a student of Yang Shao-hou, the son of Yang Chien-hou (1839-1917) and a very famous martial artist in Taiwan those days.

As well as for the waterform, we enjoy again through Nathan Menaged a rather direct line to the sources. Nevertheless, it is his deep understanding of the arts, his enthusiasm and easyness in showing and communicating the teachings of his teachers which make his workshops to very special learning events!
Nathan is going to hand us out copies of the drawings of the 2 person set, good for studying and remembering. These are said to be the original drawings from the Yang family manuscripts, secretly copied on one night from...... more stories live at he workshop :-)!
