Also, macht mich deswegen nicht verantwortlich!

Jesse R. Glover:

"None of the people who I have trained have ever been taught everything that I know and I have people who have been with me for more than twenty years. I do not teach a cookie cutter approach where I expect everyone to do the same thing in the exact same way or even be able to do the same thing. I give students information when I think that they are ready for it. A lot of what I teach is based on feeling that requires several thousand reps spread over an adequate time period. People don't get it just by watching. There are several small things that have to be learned through experience. What I do can not be learned just by watching....There are many ways to teach people different things and in the course of teaching them something I may present many different ways to do a similar thing with the hope that it will elicit something from their neural system that they can use. In effect I try to create the best way for every person to apply certain principles that I teach. If you lined all of the people who I have taught and look at them closely as they move you would see that while they look the same on the surface that they really move quite differently which is quite natural since they are different people with different minds and bodies that process information differently. Jesse "

"I went to your site and read some of the posts. The way that some of these people think is the reason that I don't spend a lot of time posting stuff. People who have been with me for two years or more are pretty good fighters and some of them have evolved into good teachers. People who don't know a lot about the differences between human beings: things like the quality of a person's muscles or the attachment of their tendons, the speed of transmisson of the neural impulses, the height and weight and the number of slow twitch or quick twitch muscle fibers like to think that everyone can do the same physical things that someone else can do and do them just as effectively. If this is true why isn't the world full of Bruce Lee's, Jordan's or Ali's and how come everyone can't be a world class sprinter or distance runner. Clearly everyone can't do the same things with the same level of effectiveness so it doesn't make sense to present people with material that they don't have the physical and/or mental ability to use. What I teach is not a SYSTEM it is a process. Systems are closed and processes are open ended. An aside, if people think that Bruce lee taught ANYONE everything that he knew they are crazy. It is up to the teacher to determine how to teach each student not the other way around. If people aren't happy with what is being taught they should find another teacher. My students seem to be happy with the way that I teach at least this is what the tell me. Several of them have done other types of martial arts so they have some knowledge of other approaches to fighting. Among my students have been pro boxers and high schools and college wrestlers. One of the people who trained with me and Ed Hart (Bruce's second student) fought in Europe in full contact matches and won most of the tournaments that he entered. Others have had a lot of experience as streetfighters. What I didn't mention is that some of these people have taken what I have shown them and drawn out of them and figured out ways to make these things more practical for them. In other words many of my students have learned things about movement that I don't know. As for any student knowing everything that I know, what I know is constantly changing and is become easier to do and more effective. And yes this involves some not too commonly known ways of moving. I don't consider these things secrets but I don't see too many others doing them. These are things that I have evolved to and it is my choice to share or not share these things. The world is full of people who take things that they can't do effectively and make money teaching them to others. I try hard not to be one of these people."
