'cro Cop' Officially A Free Agent
Sankei Sports report that Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipovic is a free agent, and can fight in any promotion he chooses to. The two big opponents for Filipovic in 2004 appear to be Mike Tyson and Bob Sapp.
Also, official split has occurred between Cro Cop and Croatian agent Miro Mijatovic of IbizCube Japan. Mijatovic received a letter from Cro Cop officially informing him of the split, and that the reason for it was because of a percieved 'conflict of interest'.
The Japanese media have speculated that the conflict of interest lies in the fact that Mijatovic became the manager of future Cro Cop opponent Fedor Emelianenko. More fuel was added to this speculation with the statement in the letter by Cro Cop that he is looking forward to fighting Fedor with Mijatovic in Fedor's corner.
In response, Miro Mijatovic told the Japanese media that he was perplexed by Cro Cop's response, and that he would continue representing Fedor for the PRIDE Heavyweight GP tournament, scheduled for April.
