An unknown buyer paid $1 million for the Olympic Gold medal of Wladimir Klitschko (Atlanta 1996).
Paying a record amount for this unique lot, the beneficator returned it to the champion as a sign of respect and honor.
Right after the sale of the medal a representative of the buyer announced the will of a benefactor: The medal should remain in the Klitschko family. Wladimir was touched by this generous gesture.
