CNBC (a major investment news channel) did a 2-hour segment on the UFC. Someone said there was also a write-up in the Wall Street Journal.
A few highlights:
1. UFC one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
2. While other sports are seeing participants cut back on activities due to recession, UFC continues to see strong growth.
3. UFC will be establishing a global setwork of UFC Training Centers. They are rolling out 10 during the first wave, with another 100 being planned.
4. UFC supposedly also signed deals with a few major health clubs, to bring UFC mixed martial arts training to these fitness clubs. Similar to how they have kickboxing.
