Neues von den MT-Verbänden aus Spanien:
Conclusions after the meeting held in Barcelona 1st October 2005:
As per conversations between Mr Stephan Fox, Carlos Javaloyas and Chinto
Mordillo during the past meeting in Bangkok, following the recommendation
gaven by WMC &IFMA officers and according to the spirit "ONE WORLD ONE MUAY
THAI", proudly followed by myself for more than 15 years, Barcelona´s
meeting was done with the porpoise to unificate all Muay Thai associations,
clubs and particulars involved in the art to work together under the same
umbrella.
Due to the particular structure of the Spanish country, divided in different
regions with its own regional sport authorities since the eighteens, all
sports organised after regional administration was created are ruled by the
regional administration, although there is a central sport authority the
process to get one federation from the sport authority is as follows:
REGIONAL ADMINISTRATION STEPS
1. Club Registration
2. Club´s union registration.
3. Regional Federation recognised by government authorities after some
conditions (number of clubs, activities)
CENTRAL GOVERNMENT STEPS
1. Confederacion: association of Unions & federations.
2. Official Spanish federations.
Thee is no a Spanish Muay Thai federation, and most of the groups are
applyng for the contact Sport none for only one discipline.
Different groups in Spain are at different stages in this process
Also you can create a cultural association or professional association
according to the Spanish constitution which states the right of association
to develop common projects to all Spanish, to create one of this
associations takes less than one week.
Due to these particularities and with the sake to create an umbrella for all
the Muay Thai people we propose to create the body: "COORDINADORA ESPAÑOLA
DE MUAY THAI"
- This is not a new association, is an umbrella open to all Muay Thai Clubs,
associations, regional federations and particulars.
- The porpoises are: show one single image of Muay Thai in Spain and abroad.
- Homola¡ogate Muay Thai contests.
- Organise the Spanish Championships, only one National title, not 2o as
there are now.
- Organise National team.
- This body is going to be ruled by a board of directors elected inside any
member organization.
Arjarn Tourneau explains us that they have a similar system in Germany, wich
guaranties fair play and democracy. Besides he briefly explain us about the
situation in Europe and different projects carried by them, insist about how
necessary is for us to strength links with European countries by attending
to competitions and organising competitions, to be more open.
90% of the Muay Thai was represented in the meeting, we got the following
conclusions:
1. Set up a provisional board of members for "COORDINADORA ESPAÑOLA DE MUAY
THAI", open list, group which joint the project listed below:
CEK nacional confederation MADRID
ASOCIACIN MADRILEÑA MADRID
FAK regional Federation ANDALUCIA
UCKB regional union of clubs CATALUNYA
FVKB regional federation VALENCIA
GRUPO DE COMPETIDORES. Fighters group leaded by Chinto Mordillo
ACMT regional union of clubs CANARY ILANDS
One executive of each groups above signed his conformity with the withness
of Arjarn Detlef and Arjarn Emilio
Although the Mallorca Islands association has been invited several times no
one has attended from there, the invitation to joint the body7 still open.
2. European promoters council logo with the words: "COORDINADORA ESPAÑOLA DE
MUAY THAI", will be our logo.
3. Competition next October 16 in Barcelona to get the Catalan team.
4. Spanish championships next October 26 and 27 in Sevilla.
5. Postpone to take the legal form till next meeting during the Spanish
championships where we expect the attendance of the outstanding groups.
6. Mention messages from groups couldn´t attend to Barcelona but supporting
"COORDINADORA ESPAÑOLA DE MUAY THAI", more than 70 clubs independent or in
other organizations.
7. Cooperation with Arjarn Detlef to create from Spain list of teachers and
competitors ranking.
8. Apply to WMC sanctioned professional fight in Madrid 12 November
