Rahman confirmed as WBC champ
Vitali Klitschko has revealed that he could come out of retirement for a rematch with fellow former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis.
Klitschko retired this week after being forced to pull out of his WBC title defence with Hasim Rahman with injury for the fourth time.

But the 34-year-old told pravda.ru: "I will come back only if Lennox Lewis does the same and agrees to fight me.

"Lennox is the only competitor who matters to me."

Lewis also retired from the ring when a reigning world champion after beating Klitschko in June 2003, the Ukrainian being stopped on cuts when ahead on points after six rounds.

Klitschko cancelled the Rahman bout after suffering a serious knee injury during sparring.

The WBC has since decided to declare Rahman the new title holder.

"I heard a nasty crackling in my knee when I was on the eighth round of a sparring fight last Thursday," added Klitschko.

"The doctors first attached a special strong analgesic to my knee. I had to wear a special support bandage for the next sparring fight.

"But I could not move around freely. The doctor said I could barely last a round with the knee like that."

Blödsinn, in anderen Zeitungsinterviews sagt er, daß er keine Lust hat sich mit 35, 36 noch mal anzufangen zu quälen für ein paar Kämpfe ohne Titel. Mal abgesehen davon daß ein Fussballer der BEIDE Knie operiert hat, auch nichts mehr reisst, und in der Regel die Karriere hinter sich hat. Nowottny ist bei seinem Comeback bei Leverkusen auch über den Platz geschlichen wie ein richtig alter Mann, und lange gemacht hat er auch nicht, da war es wieder im Eimer, und das völlig ohne gegnerische Einwirkung, bei einem kleinen Hüpfer. Laß mal mit zwei so Knien einen 120-Kilo-Mann gegen Dich springen der Dich schlägt und schubst, hält, oder sich auf Dich legt.

Vitali Klitschko und Lennox Lewis werden nie wieder die Handschuhe überziehen.
Lewis ist mit 40 Jahren einfach zu alt und ist sich dessen auch voll bewußt und Klitschko hat sich seinen Rücktritt wohl überlegt und seine Verletzungsanfälligkeit ist in 6 Monaten noch genauso hoch, wenn nicht noch höher.
Beide Boxer müssen sich nichts mehr beweisen und haben es auch finanziell nicht mehr nötig in den Ring zu steigen.

Ich denke mal, dass er genau das damit ausdrücken wollte. Lewis wird nicht wieder zurück kommen und es klingt einfach besser, wenn man es davon abhängig macht :)

Ich komme nnur zurück, wenn Lewis gegen mich antritt. Lewis kommt nicht zurück. Also komme ich nicht zurück. Transitivität ;)
