Roger Gracie and Xande Ribeiro first met in the super-heavyweight final. Xande won by two advantages in a close match. It was the first time he ever beat Roger.
Then they met again in the Absolute final. Roger had finished everyone and he did the same to Xande: pulled guard and immediatley sunk a triangle choke for the tapout and the title.
Igor Gracie finished in third in the middle weight while his big brother Rolles (Michael and Sula were with him in Rio) took gold in the +99kg division.
