It will be a co production of GG productions and SLV productions.

Main event will be:

World title fight Muay Thai:
Paulo Balicha vs. Mario Cvitanovic

European title fight Muay Thai:
Shemsi Beqiri vs. Hubert Romankiewicz

European title fight Muay Thai:
Stephane Mbida vs. Serdar Karaca

The show will be held in the Markthalle Basel, the doors will open at: 17:30h and the event will start at: 18:30h.

Ist offenbar ne koproduktion. Die veranstalter haetten das ruhig 'etwas' deutlicher machen duerfen.
GG kaempfer sind keine dabei wie es aussieht.
Aber Marloes Coenen (Shooto Holland) wird gegen Romy Ruyssen (Team GSDI) aus Frankreich antreten.

This Saturday, 2 August 2008, GLORY 9 will be held in Basel, Switzerland!

In one of the main events, Marloes Coenen (Golden Glory) will fight Romy Ruyssen (Team GSDI, France). Marloes is just coming off a dominant victory over Asci Karnie in a show called Beast of the East in Holland.

In Japan, Marloes is often referred as “the female Rickson”. She is very popular in Japan as she fought 14 of her 18 fights over there and won the first and only $100.000,- tournament for females!

Marloes Coenen is now aiming to fight in the USA and vs Gina Carano in particular. Gina is known to be having problems to make weight and because of that she jumps right into Marloes her weightclass of 145lbs / 66kg! This will be a dream match up in this weight class.

But first she will have to take on Romy Ruyssen, who just came back from Brazil where she was competing in the Mundials BJJ.

GLORY promoter and Golden Glory coach, Martijn de Jong: “Marloes is very dedicated to MMA, besides her job as a communication specialist, she is only training and training”. “She is a female fighter full of action and defeated girls by KO, TKO, jumping armbars, chokes etc, she only had 3 decision fights in her whole career”!
