Ach du scheisse. Haben sie doch tatsaechlich den al Amin als gegner fuer den titelkampf gegen Akdeniz genommen. Find ich eine schlechte entscheidung. Mal schauen wie Martijn das begruendet.

Ja, eigentlich war ja Nicu Dascalu (Ashihara Romenia, RO) fuer den Kampf gegen Henry vorgesehen. Und so kurzfristig einen passenden Ersatz zu finden (der nicht aus den Niederlanden kommt, da World Title...) ist ja nicht wirklich leicht...

Ich mein ja bloss weil Brian sich schon letzten monat gegen Henry ein blaues auge geholt hat. Daher find ich es nicht wirklich passend.

Sunday 9 November, the spectacular K-1 and MMA event GLORY 10 “The Battle of Arnhem” will take place at the Rijnhal in the city of Arnhem, Holland.

Because of GLORY´s 10th anniversary there will be some special top quality fights. Not only will the biggest names from the whole world come to the Rijnhal to show their skills but there will also be 3 title fights that will take place; 2 European title fights featuring Halim Issaoui vs Jan de Keyer, Dion Staring vs Markus Halkosaari and 1 world title fight Henry Akdeniz vs Brian al Amin.

Also there will be a very special boxing fight featuring former silver medalist on the Olympic Games; Arnhem’s own Orhan Delibas who will who will have his ‘last hurrah’ vs the Kroatian KO specialist Gordan Glisic. Delibas says: I have been training since July and already lost 10 kilos, I still need to loss a couple of kilos and then I will be in my best shape. This will be my last but best fight ever!

Double K-1 Vegas winner and triple World champion Muay Thai Stefan ´Blitz´ Leko will also show his skills at GLORY 10. The K-1 superstar with an impressive record of no less than 61 wins has been training at the famous Golden Glory team situated in Breda for many years. The fighter from Duisburg, Germany (just across the border from Arnhem) has entirely recovered from an annoying injury (torn ACL). In August Leko won in a convincing manner by KO at the K-1 event held in Hawaii and shown that he is ready for anybody again. Stefan opponent for coming Sunday is the very experienced MMA and K1 fighter Rodney Glunder! Leko says: “Rodney is a very strong and experienced fighter but he is going to understand why my nickname is the BLITZ”!

On top of all, nobody less than Alistair ´The Demolition man´ Overeem is going to face Big Daddy Goodridge! Goodridge is world wide known as a fighter who comes to make war. In a fight with Gary Goodridge you know one thing for certain: someone is going to get KNOCKED OUT. He has fought over 72 fights in both K-1 and MMA. Goodridge has let us known via a video message that he is in solitary for his training and ensured us that he will be in the best shape of his life to guarantee a dazzling fight. Goodridge says: Alistair, you better be prepared because I am. Do not think that I am already over the hill because that is certainly NOT the case. This Sunday I will be ready as I will ever be! I can only hope for your own sake that you will be ready too!!

Alistair Overeem is, as everyone knows, in the best shape of his life. The Strikeforce world champion has personally asked for this fight to redeem his brother who lost from Goodridge. Alistair recently won within 30 seconds from the large Korean Lee Tae-Hyun and a month after that he beaten former K-1 champion Mark Hunt. His last fight was against Mirco Crocop in which Allistair dominated. Alistair Overeem says: “I really feel good at the moment and find myself in a great rhythm. I fight almost every 6 weeks and this feels really pleasant. I use to fight in the middle weight and since 9 months I have been fighting in the heavy weight class. My trainers at Team Golden Glory are intensively working with me and I simply feel that I will beat everyone who crosses my path. Gary can call himself very lucky if he makes it to the end of the first round. No matter what.. I will decide the fight prematurely”!

On top of the above mentioned we can also treat the Dutch audience to a unique event! At GLORY 10 the very first official Unified World Grand Prix of Mixed Martial Arts will kick off. The tournament is set for the weight classes 155, 170, 185, 205 and 265 lbs and there will be 16 participants. There will be 1 World Grand Prix Champion. The aim of the World Grand Prix is to find, discover and stimulate unknown talents, join worldwide fans and introduce them to all large Mixed Martial Arts organizations from all over the world. The European participants of this tournament will be: Vincent Latoel, Danial Sharifi, Hamid Corassani and Gregorz Tredowski.

Golden Glory manager Ron Nyqvist: “this event will be filled with some of the very big names within our own Golden Glory team. World champions will come forward but there will also be special attention paid to new talent. At GLORY 8 Dion Staring stole the show with his spectacular fight against Michael Knaap. This time he will face the strong Markus Halkosaari in a rematch for the European title. Needless to say that Markus has a score to settle! Markus informed us that is he dedicated entirely to his training”.

“Vincent Latoel and Hamid Corrasani will both take part in the very first official Unified World GP or MMA. Both fighters are very motivated to show that they belong to the world top. I expect fire works from both fighters”!

Promoter Martijn de Jong: “GLORY 10´the battle of Arnhem´ will characterize itself as one of the best organized sports event in the Netherlands. The combination of K-1, MMA and boxing will ensure an evening full of excitement. All fights are of an extremely high level. To us it is an honor to have them on the show. On a daily basis I get approached by TV channels from all over the world with the request to cover the event. The Glory 10 event is by its appearance and its quality almost un Dutch”!

Promoter Charl Hasselaar: The farewell fight of Dutch boxing legend Orhan Delibas is big news. Arnhemmer Delibas still has a lot of fans in Arnhem and its surroundings, The Netherlands and Turkey. Orhan wanted to enter the ring just once more to say farewell in a worthy manner. He only wanted to do this in the Rijnhal in Arnhem. In his backyard, live to his direct family and friends at a big stage! We are honored to realize this for him.

Hallo Chicano,

ja, hat er. Und er hat unheimlich schlecht gekämpft und wurde K.O. geschlagen. Ich denke, er war viel zu überheblich damals, weil er seinen Gegner ein halbes Jahr vorher leicht besiegen konnte. Und der hat dann natürlich gekämpft wie ein Löwe...

Aber seitdem ist viel passiert, er trainiert professionell (täglich mind. 5 Stunden) und wurde ins Shooto Netherland Team aufgenommen. Bei seinem Profi-Debut hat er einen Weltklassemann völlig auseinandergenommen und hofft nun darauf, international bekannt zu werden.

Ja, ok dann erinner ich mich. Er ging damals gegen den Schüler von Yasin glaub so böse KO. Aber das ist Vergangenheit und du beschreibst ja schön seine Entwicklung.:D

Deshalb auch von mir an dieser Stelle alles Gute für Ihn- toi toi toi !!!

Ja genau, es war ein Schüler von Yasin und der hatte ihn genau richtig auf Cesario eingestellt.

Seine Schwäche war immer schon seine Kopfdeckung - und da hat es dann granatenmäßig eingeschlagen.

Yasin hat das sehr schön vorher erkannt und seinen Schüler gut darauf trainiert.

Der Schüler heißt übrigens Monzef und ist ein sehr sympathischer Junge mit einem unglaublichen Kämpferherz...

Hallo Leute,

Cesario hat mir am Handy folgendes erzählt:

Das Publikum, immerhin 3.000 Leute, war wohl fantastisch dabei. Die K 1 Kämpfe hatten seiner Meinung nach eine tolle Qualität.

Hier sein Bericht aus seiner mail an mich:

my opponent was very tough, he was a professional bulgarian stoky wrestler and boxer.
i started with some punches and pretty hard knee to the chin that made him deasy twice, hard knee shots from standing. He never took me on the ground with his take downs but i only flew for an arm bar, where he defended and we start to fight on the ground and where i got him in any kind of submission techniques, arm bar (where he slammed me to defend), omoplata ( he had a lot of oil and very short harms, hard to finish him), kimura, i mountaded him and i strated to pound with some hammer fists and an gogoplata and a straight arm lock saved him by the bell.
the second round was the same where i showed really a good kung fu, with my fighting positions, kicks, knee and punches, and of course on the ground i made a triangle, where he got chocke out after the bell,
in the end i won, after the end of the round with a lot of energy and much more will to train and fight.

Cesario ist sehr glücklich und hat sich auch nicht verletzt. Die Kulisse war wohl sehr beeindruckend und er freut sich schon auf seinen nächsten Kampf. Das mit dem Willen zum Trainieren und Kämpfen glaubt man ihm aufs Wort!
