Training in Essen?

Hi,

I have just moved to Essen. Where can you train grappling or bjj in Essen? I have done a bit of grappling quite a long while ago and would like to pick it up again. Are there any possibilities of training Grappling or BJJ during daytime in Essen?

there are two good adresses here in essen-if u are interessted to do NO-GI i would recommend sparta essen-they start as well once in a while on SHOOTO tournaments in belgium,netherlands and germany
just write to the user BEN BARACUS he is a member of sparta essen
on the other hand u have the possibility to train here in essen at a branch of Gracie Humanaitas BJJ-they have a good price offer where u can train the howl week at different location here in the ruhrarea-as well the instructor will receive his black belt soon

Thank you very much for all the answers. I think I am leaning towards the Humaita Bjj academy in Essen at the moment because it would be easy for me to get there since I do not have a car yet.

Is training good at Humaita BJJ? And are there places where people might train during day time in Essen?

can`t say anything about the quality of the bjj training in downtown but public transport is pretty good so there should be a possibility to go to the trainigsfacilities of sparta essen
as well i think u will not have any luck to find a place which offers day time training-mostly all of the instructors have a ordinary job during the day time and just offer classes at night

Thanks again for all the answers. I think I will try out both the bjj and sparta then later. My job is not the most practical one because I work on oil rigs which means I usually work 2 weeks in Norway and then I have 2 weeks off which I spend here in Essen. So that is why I wondered if there is training anywhere during daytime, have the whole days off when I am on land.

Soon I have to go to work again, but depending on when I get sent offshore I might have time to go and try one of the gyms.

Hi Joak,

if you want to train during the daytime, you can check our gym. Our regular classes starts all at night, but we have some guys who meets together during the daytime for training.
