Aus der Videobeschreibung:
=============================
Here’s a glimpse of one of our open-air training sessions on Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin, Germany, featuring a pair of shields (Mai Sawk, Mai Sannt), swords (Daab) ... and a bike lock.
Note: Pahuyuth members (via Patreon) can watch, discuss, and train along with the entire session in our online forum as we cover beginner techniques for these weapons (see the start of this video).
▬ What is Mai Sawk? ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
MAI SAWK is one of the seven Pahuyuth disciplines, focusing on traditional armed combat using special forearm shields for both attack and defense. Originally, the MAI SAWK was a practical tool used by fishermen to pull boats or by farmers to move large straw bales. Pahuyuth Free-Warriors repurposed this everyday tool into a powerful melee shield.
▬ What is Daab? ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
DAAB (sword) is another Pahuyuth discipline, centered on traditional armed combat using arm-length objects as improvised weapons, including Thai swords. The so-called Thai sword (DAAB) originally evolved from simple tools like the rice truncheon (Gab) or weed scythe (Gab Gleeh), which were used as improvised weapons against Chinese invaders over 4,000 years ago and later developed into war swords.
▬ How can I learn that? ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
✅ We offer comprehensive training in both disciplines in Berlin and globally through our online platforms. Visit our website for details, or join us on Patreon for instant access to our educational materials and community!
