Zitat:
Kaliradman is mentioned in some of the early books (Preses, Yambao, etc.) as one of the old terms used for FMA (Ilonggo dialect). There has been a lot of debate on the authenticity of the term though.
Personally now I don't think the books were accurate on it's widespread use but I do think some may have used it as a combination of the terms "Kalis" (sword) and "Kinaadman" (old wisdom/knowledge). Bot Jocano also thinks this is a possibility.
Despite the controversy, we decided to continue using it for our group since we came up with the name prior to the controversy/issues/additional research. It is just like the term "Kali"which despite the fact that use of the term is questionable (I personally think it is "Kalis" with a silent "S""), it is however an accepted term nowadays. There are many similar terms mentioned in those books like Pag-kalikali, Kalirongan, etc. for which there is no evidence of use in the languages they are supposed to be part of.
They may have been used though only by a very small minority.
