"[Aldo's] running through people in the (1)45 division. A fight with him would be huge. It would be a guy my size. He’d be a very dangerous opponent. (A cut to) (1)45 wouldn’t be too hard for me. I wouldn’t be surprised if Aldo cuts more than I do."
UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar tells MMADiehards.com he would be down to throw hands with the world's best at 145 pounds, UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo. Both fighters already have bouts scheduled at UFC 125, Edgar vs Gray Maynard and Aldo vs (reportedly) Josh Grispi. "Junior" was initially offered a fight in the UFC lightweight division against Kenny Florian for an event in December of this year but his managers declined. Were they holding out for a chance at the champion of the division? As for "The Answer", he's got at least two title defenses already scheduled in his near future. Is this match-up just wishful thinking?
