TC is most concerned with getting the best out of his students and teaching them to be able to fight, if he thinks that they would be better at defending themselfs with modifide WC rather than TCJKD it is because that student either has'nt the comittment to training JKD or lacks the attributes to pull it off. The student has to be honest with themselfs also,do they want to be good at defending themselfs using Bruces early material or get there arse kicked trying to pull off stuff thats way beyond there means.

Yes, TCJKD is based on bruces principals and teds techniques,fencing with hands and feet. not easy to learn, and definitely not for everybody. You have to put a huge amount of time in the training and need talent.

Ich finde das gut UND ehrlich. Nicht mehr dieses "JKD wie Bruce Lee es gewollt hätte" etc Gerede. "His very own personal take" klingt da ganz anders und auch viel "interessanter" und weniger andere Leute "anpissend", die "alles falsch machen".
man sollte nicht vergessen, das Bruce nicht da angefangen hat, sondern Ted Wong da aufgehört hat.
"nur" das zu machen, dann verstehe ich auch wie ihr das "1 of 10000" interpretiert und stimme da zu. Die restlichen
9999 kriegen nämlich aufs Maul wenn sie ausser lead punch und stopkick nix im Repertoire haben.
Nur hatten sowohl Bruce als auch Ted auch "anderes" zur Verfügung. Auch Karate kannst Du nicht einfach
auf "kizami tsuki" reduzieren, ohne den Rest zu unterrichten. Man brauch den "weg" und wenn der eine oder andere an bestimmten Punkten des Weges hängenbleibt, wird umso deutlicher wie wichtig der "Weg" ist.
