WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 54 KOs) and unbeaten challenger Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) weighed in for their clash Saturday night in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Klitschko weighed 245.8 lbs. (111.5 kilos), while Fury scaled in at 247 lbs. (112 kilos). An intense face-off followed lasting 72 seconds before they were separated. During their face-to-face, Klitsche at 6’6 1/2 looked at least as tall as Fury, who is billed as 6’9.
Fury made his entry first, followed by Wlad, who extended his hand to shake with Fury. Fury refused. Wlad attempted again after the face-off, and this time Fury accepted. Now comes the long-awaited ruled meeting where Fury will try on his custom-made Paffen gloves. The Fury camp is still making rumblings about walking if the gloves aren’t to his liking.
