'Clever Hands' - CHINESE BOXING
Information:
A lot of ppl ask me if this is Wing Chun.
I am not dare to say it is Wing Chun, cause I never had a degree in Wing Chun allowing me to teach. However I have practiced Wing Chun back 20-25 years ago for a couple of years and reached student degrees and was not deep enough into it, to make it to a teacher.
It is not JKD, I have never trained JKD.
Master Dragoslav Kostic, my First Kungfu Teacher in Berlin City, (a Serbian decent Martial Artist and Street Combat Specialist) taught us alot of Trapping Hands (out of his own system). He too never trained Wing Chun or JKD. He called his System just 'KUNGFU' and said, if he would name it differently to point something out it would be 'ASIA STREET FIGHT' due to the fact that he had developed his system out of situations he been through. His background is Boxing and Traditional Southern Praying Mantis + Sou Family Style Kungfu. In his younger days he used to box with the Rocchigiani Brothers. (Graciano Rocchigiani but mostly with Ralf Rocchigiani).
He is not known to the public, has no Youtube Channel, nor does he want to be famous in any way. He stopped teaching years back and today I am proud that I was and am among his students.
These are some ideas going from his viewpoint.
I call it 'clever hands' cause these are my own out-springs and improvements of my own teachings.
The flow of my movements & accuracy (here rather slow in practice) is coming from Hui Chun Qi Gong i guess, Animal Body and Yi Shou Dan Tian which is included in Hui Chun System. The Animal Body (5 Animal Dynamic Energy Work) is used to manifest fluent flexible and smooth movements with solid & grounded footwork, which again, is a traditional way of developing skill for modern Arts such as Fighting, or Martial Art.
Master Drago's Kungfu does not only include Trapping Hands... but also a lot of pretty unorthodox boxing techniques, self-defence-tricks, street-boxing (with punching the knees, groin, neck etc), kicking, foot-fencing & Catch-Downs (this is how the defence of kicks are called), Arm-locking, Joint & Foot-locks.
Here we work the center-line a bit with Chen and straight punch with back-fist trapping-combinations.
Enjoy.
