Juego de mano or Juego de las manos (handplay), is a typical Spanish fighting art now practiced mostly in the Canary Islands.
While other traditional European systems have been transformed into sports, such as boxing, savate, free wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling, Juego de mano remains based on street defense. Sequences of a few quick and effective shots are carried out to neutralize the opponent. Free sparring is practiced with soft contact with the aim of developing reflexes, counter-responses, footwork and timing.
