Aus dem Paul Bax-Forum:
Big Yoda: "The OJKD want to preserve the original teachings of Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune do as Bruce taught it. But this is impossible, because, in order to do this you would have to teach Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do as trademarked by concordmoon. And no one is certified to teach it.
So instead they teach (Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do) thier interpretation of Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do, as best as they can. In doing so, it allows instructors to add different techniques and training methods which are not part of the original art of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do. So in reality, are heading towards the concepts route?
On the other hand, there is Jeet Kune Do concepts. You could say they 'Point' the student in the right direction by teaching them the principles behind a technique instead of teaching them the exact technique. Maybe what is needed in JKD concepts is to teach some of the original techniques in the beginning, and then letting the student explore and develop how they wish."
Steve Golden: "Holy Cow BigYoda! I hope I never implied any of that. OJKD, whatever form you're talking about can teach Bruce Lee's methods. There's no problem doing that. And the Concepts branch doesn't teach concepts. They propose multiple systems instead of sticking to JKD. Sometimes they call that JKD and it becomes JKD Concepts. No problem as far as I'm concerned.
Soon I'll post a description of what Jeet Kune Do really is and that will clear up the issue once and for all. Yeah... Sure..."
