HIER EINE INFO VON UNSEREM ALTEN LEHRER GM RENE LATOSA:

Rene says...

It not fixed.

The first Fight on Philippines was a Filipino martial art event held in San Francisco raised money to help the brave and strong people just trying to survive the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan.

I requested Filipino martial artist to donate their time and knowledge in the Filipino arts to teach, and they did. It was an event to share the martial art knowledge and to cut through the barriers and become one for a single cause, getting rid of the what normally haunts the martial arts, and show solidarity among our community.

With all the many relief efforts that have help the people in the Philippines, it is not fixed. There is less news and reports on the relief efforts and the news media have moved on to bigger and better news worthy items.

Round 2 of Fight on Philippines is to show our continued support to the People of the Philippines and to let them know that they are not forgotten. They are people of our world.

It is not fixed.

The funding request is for tangible and non-tangible donations. The tangible donations is for a donation of a space enough to hold over 50 people swinging weapons and punching. Perhaps in September 2014 In the San Francisco bay area or suggestions.

The second tangible donation is for prizes to give away and to draw people into the event. The non-tangible donations is ideas of what to teach, corporate sponsorships and support. I will be teaching the variations of the Filipino martial arts including Filipino Boxing, staff or spear fighting, and knives. I will have some other Filipino martial artist teaching as well, and a glimpse of yoga and how it blends into the martial arts. I would like to have some other aspect of the Filipino culture taught or demonstrated, and/or other ideas and suggestions.

This may not fall into the normal funding criteria, but you can place a dollar amount to what you think it is worth and that would be your donation value. The last part is if you know anyone who can help with the professional publicity, the media efforts, so this will be a very successful event.
