Da bin ich absolut bei Dir. Ich zitiere hier einfach mal meinen Lehrer zu dem Thema, besser kann ich es nicht ausdrücken. Er bringt es schön auf den Punkt:

A good teacher teaches you how to learn. When you come out of University you do not keep playing the same song. A good teacher teaches you how to understand music, harmony, melody, counter-point, you learn the theory and the teacher will give you examples. When you have finished you have to be able to create something on your own. That is what you need from a teacher, not just to copy him, because copying is not art.
You have to go your own way, you have to think, or else it is not an art but a copy. The teacher will teach you how you can change between this one and this one, the applications are endless, what the teacher passes down are core applications and core concepts. Once you grasp them, then you can go. But you have to understand the core, then you can fly
