Möglichkeit 2: Ich habe mir die Seite angesehen: Nicht das tatsächliche Bild kauft man, sondern einen "Abzug" mit Rechten. Aus den USA. Zumindest lese ich dort nichts anderes.
Daher: Was wäre anders, wenn ICH (nehmen wir an Du kennst mich nicht) Dir das Bild gewerblich anbiete mit einer verfassten Rechtelizenz? Und das im internationalen Rechtsraum? Diese polnische Karateschule verdient ja auch ihr Geld mit Karate, und hat das Bild.... Also ein zweiter *edit* (Polen-USA/ GER-USA/GER-Polen wie auch immer...)

Wie können die denn das 5,5 x 4,0 cm große Originalbild haben, wenn du es angeblich besitzt?

Erkläre mir das bitte, ich verstehe das irgendwie nicht.
Du sagst, der Herr auf dem Bild ist Dein Lehrer, das Bild wurde jedoch vor der Geburt deines Lehrers aufgenommen (bzw. er war zu der Zeit ein Baby/Kleinkind, auf dem Foto ist jedoch ein sehr alter Mensch zu sehen), wie ist das möglich?

Die besitzen die original alte Fotografie. Man bekommt ein sorgfältig verpacktes ALTES ORIGINALFOTO, wenn man es kauft und eben nicht einen Abzug, wie du schreibst.

Noch einmal ganz konkret, wie erklärst Du das?
